Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Pomodoro Technique work?
The Pomodoro Technique uses focused 25-minute work intervals followed by short rest breaks. After completing a set of work sessions, you take a longer break. This cycle helps maintain concentration and prevent burnout.
Can I customize the timer durations?
Yes. You can adjust both work and rest intervals to suit your workflow. RhythmWork also includes built-in presets: Classic (25/5 min), Short (15/3 min), and Long (50/10 min) sessions.
How do I set up dual timezone clocks?
Tap the timezone display below the timer to cycle through available timezones. You can cycle through 10 world timezones including UTC, EST, CST, MST, PST, GMT, CET, JST, AEST, and IST.
How do I change the color theme?
Open the settings menu and select from five built-in themes: Ocean Blue, Lavender, Forest Green, Sunset, or Classic Red. The theme changes the visual appearance of the timer interface.
Can I change the notification sound?
Yes. In the settings, you can choose from four alert sounds — Bell, Chime, Gong, or Ding — to signal transitions between work and rest modes.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. RhythmWork works entirely offline. No internet connection is required to use the timer, track sessions, or change settings.
What data does RhythmWork collect?
RhythmWork does not collect or transmit any personal data. All settings and session data are stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The timer sound is not playing. What should I do?
Make sure your device is not in silent mode and the volume is turned up. On iOS, check that the app has permission to play audio in Settings > RhythmWork. Restarting the app can also resolve audio issues.
